Summary

The inventory controller role is a unique role as it oversees and manages different imperative aspects to the operations. The inventory controller will manage parts & materials ordering, setting items up on a min / max, daily toolroom issuing and returning of tools for both the 145 & disassembly area. The key part to the inventory controller’s role is to manage stock and tooling requests.


Main responsibilities

  • Inventory current consumables & stock of parts
  • Work with 145 manager / GM to setup a min max level for each item
  • When parts are used make sure they are issued out to the task card/s correctly
  • Order parts for aircraft that are inbound to the facility
  • Order tooling that may be broken or damaged
  • Order tooling that may need to be loaned from somewhere
  • Identify those tools that have been loaned more than once or that are onsite for more than 30 days.
  • Keep track of loaned tooling informing the 145 manager & GM of when the tool needs to be returned and the costs.

Skills/experience

  • This person must have worked in some type of environment providing at least 1 to 2 years of experience as an inventory controller and / or clerk
  • Must have knowledge of aircraft parts and materials used on aircraft
  • It’s a bonus if you know how to use ILS
  • Must know how to use a computer and process credit card payments
  • Has worked with multiple different vendors in the past
  • Knowledge of reading AMM’s and ordering materials
