Summary

To support our growing Carpentry team in the assembly of various crates for aircraft parts/components, to ensure the safe shipping of the items. You will perform daily work scope based on aircraft parts needing crating as directed by the customer/Head of Carpentry. Assists Head of Carpentry with any work that needs to be completed.

Main responsibilities

  • Complete all crating/carpentry requests in a safe & efficient manner; ensuring correct PPE, etc. is worn at all times
  • Completes requisition forms for materials and supplies, and submits to management for processing
  • Communicates with management to clarify work order information and to relay repair results
  • Strict adherence to Company Health & Safety policy by all staff and report issues/concerns (including 5S, Housekeeping, etc.)
  • Promotes a culture of safety by monitoring self & others to ensure all duties are performed within established safety guidelines
  • Identify & implement Continuous Improvement within team to improve productivity, quality and minimise/reduce errors
  • Any other duties associated with, or different from those specified above at the request of the Senior Management, or to meet the needs of the business demands

Skills/experience

  • Demonstrable experience in Carpentry/General Building Maintenance
