Summary

To support the Head of QHSE with the ongoing H&S and Compliance requirements of the Coolidge Operation.


Main responsibilities

  • Responsible for helping to develop, implement, and oversight of workplace safety programs to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all employees.
  • Daily oversight of the H&S reporting system
  • Auditing facility requirements from AFRA / H&S perspective
  • Conducts investigations into incidents and accidents and makes recommendations on corrective action
  • Ensures compliance with regulations by staying up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and ensuring that the workplace adheres to those regulations
  • Assisting Managers and Staff to complete Risk Assessments
  • Creation of Quality and H&S Audit Programmes
  • Conducting audits for Quality and H&S and generation of reports and actions
  • Processing Occurrence Reports and Investigations (when required)
  • Creation of monthly reports monitoring performance via ELMS / Fresh Service
  • Tracks safety performance for the site
  • Develops and maintains a strong safety culture
  • Provides safety training to employees on safety procedures, regulations, and the use of safety equipment

  • Previous experience in FAA environment

Skills/experience

  • The ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • H&S Competence in OSHA/FAA/EASA Regulations
  • Trained Investigator
  • Qualified Internal Auditor
  • Technical knowledge and experience in aviation or engineering environment
  • Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) etc
