ecube celebrates five years in Castellón with new 25,833 sq. ft facility.

Located 45 miles north of Valencia, on the east coast of Spain, ecube’s Spanish base offers a dry and pleasant climate for aircraft storage, as well as easy access to the EU for those in and out of the region.

ecube establishing in Castellón was originally founded as a counter to the impact of Brexit five years ago this summer. 2024’s summer plans have been focused on customer demand and supporting the growing need of component storage. So, as we celebrate 5 years, we have opened a new hangar to house parts-processing, quality control, crating, storage and offices for the team.

ecube’s customers can quickly maximise the value from their aircraft in Castellón. Our skilled technicians operate a high-quality control process and we get your asset monetised swiftly with parts out and ready to travel or store in our facility. A solution built to support remote working parts traders looking for a warehouse solution or companies with limited storage capacity themselves.

Our consistent and reliable process is to remove, inspect, pack, crate and ship. We have the experts to precisely remove the part from the aircraft. We then inspect it and pack it for distribution. Our carpentry team in the new hangar will build a bespoke crates for each component. Then the part is ready to be shipped to the final customer located wherever they are in the world.

For one customer we reduced shipping costs through expert logistics management that reduced an initial plan by a lorry-load. We can do this because we have a specialist logistics team who apply space-optimising software. They understand the composition of the parts and crates we’re distributing and they’re then able to find the most effective delivery system.

We also have an expert customs management team. They take care of the administrative burden and make sure aircraft parts are processed efficiently. The team gets involved from the outset to advise on parts sales before disassembly begins. This works for aircraft owners and parts distributors, wherever they are in the world.

Over ecube’s five years in Spain, we’ve built up the offering to include transition and maintenance as well as our leading disassembly service. Our Castellón location offers all the services available in St. Athan, Wales and Coolidge, Arizona. It also includes base maintenance, where we carry out structural inspections, diagnose malfunctions, repair and replace parts in compliance with safety regulations. Plus, we can transition an aircraft from storage to flight-ready condition.

In the warm, dry climate of eastern Spain, ecube is growing rapidly and looking forward to the next half decade to come!
