ecube celebrates prestigious Diamond Aircraft Disassembly status from AFRA

ecube has satisfied the requirements for accreditation under the Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association’s Best Management Practices and becomes the first AFRA aircraft disassembler in Europe to achieve Diamond level status for Aircraft Disassembly.

After successfully achieving AFRA recertification earlier this year, the recent Diamond level status sees ecube continue to 'Raise expectations' and has delighted CEO Lee McConnellogue.

Lee said: "An absolutely fantastic achievement by the team. The aviation sector is front and centre in the global sustainability challenge. Our industry continuously moves towards its net zero carbon emissions pledge of 2050. This is in support of the 2015 Paris Agreement goal for global warming not to exceed 1.5degC.

"Aircraft disassembly and the circular economy it creates can make a significant contribution to this pledge. That’s why being recognised by AFRA who represent companies from around the globe and throughout the supply chain as the Diamond standard in aircraft disassembly is a huge honour.

"Well done team and great to catch up with lead auditor for Europe Nigel at the recent AFRA convention."
