International Women's Day - 2026

This Sunday, March 8, 2026, is International Women’s Day. We want to take a moment and personally thank and recognise all the women within our team. The passion, strength, commitment, and dedication you provide each day are key links in the bonded chain of our success.

To celebrate the day, we caught up with ecube's Operations Manager for Castellon, Susana Pérez Badal, who shared her thoughts on what the day means to her.

What does IWD mean to you personally & professionally?

Personally, IWD is a reminder of the women who opened doors before us and of the responsibility we have to keep those doors open for the next generation. As a mother of a girl and a boy, it represents visibility, opportunity, and the confidence to choose paths that traditionally were not designed for women.

As an Operations Manager in aircraft industry, IWD highlights the importance of building environments where diverse perspectives are essential, like Operations, logistics, quality, technical roles.

Have you learned or participated in anything recently that focused on positive change around gender equality?

Recently, I participated in initiatives focused on increasing the visibility of women in operational and STEM careers. At ecube Castellón, we’ve been showcasing the women who contribute across operations, logistics, planning, administration, quality and health & safety. This has reinforced something important: representation matters. When teams and young students see women in technical and leadership positions, they begin to perceive those roles as accessible and achievable.

What’s one action you’d like to see moving forward relating to gender equality?

One key action I´d like is to ensure women have a clear pathway into technical and leadership roles.  I firmly believe in meritocracy, but some diversity metrics should be embedded in recruitment and internal promotions, just to be sure that processes are fair.

Last but not least, mentorship networks that connect women in operations, engineering, and STEM fields.  Ultimately, creating equal opportunities is not only the right thing to do, it’s key to advancing as a diverse, high‑performing team.

Thank you Susana!
