We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Victoria Jones, General Manager, and Fay Jeans, Corporate Fundraising Officer from Kids Cancer Charity, to our St Athan facility. This visit was a valuable opportunity to reflect on our long-standing relationship with the charity and to explore ways we can continue to support their incredible work.
ecube has proudly supported Kids Cancer Charity since 2015, raising a total of £2,121.44 through employee-led fundraising and company contributions. These donations have been used specifically to fund care breaks, which provide families affected by cancer with a chance to rest, recharge, and reconnect.
During the meeting, we discussed the charity’s vital work and explored potential areas for future involvement. We also learned about the Gower Bike Ride, a community cycling event that Kids Cancer Charity began organising in 2024. Now in its second year, this event has become a fixture in the Welsh cycling calendar, combining scenic routes with a fundraising purpose. The ride presents an excellent opportunity for brand visibility while supporting a cause that changes lives. More details are available at www.gowerbikeride.co.uk
At ecube, we believe in supporting initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Kids Cancer Charity provides essential emotional and psychological support to children and their families, helping them face the challenges of cancer with strength and hope.
We were particularly moved by the stories shared during the visit, including this message from a mother whose son received support from the charity:
“This time last year Jamie was going through intensive chemo, unable to walk unaided. Now, he has climbed Snowdon. Thanks to you, we were able to build new memories and finally be together as a family again.”
— Ania, Mum of Jamie and Cody
This message is a powerful reminder of the importance of the charity’s work and the real-world impact our support can have.
We are proud to stand with Kids Cancer Charity and look forward to exploring how we can continue to make a difference together.
